The Compliance Task Manager (CTM) system is the site's way of assuring compliance with all regulations that apply to our activities. Certain individuals that have regulatory obligations have been assigned specific tasks to accomplish by prescribed deadlines. The name of the software system that CTM uses is the Essentials database. Essentials utilizes the company email system to tell individuals when their compliance tasks are due. Training on the use of the Essentials database is available on-line in the CTM Learning Portal.
Your role as a System User (Task Owner) is to:
Understand and complete tasks assigned to you.
Complete the tasks by their due date.
Document that you have finished the task by closing out the task in the CTM.
Ask for help if you don’t understand and/or do not have resources needed to
complete a task.
Continue to follow established HSSE processes within your business unit or site.
Your role as a Task Supervisor:
Ensure that your employees understand their tasks.
Ensure that your employees properly complete their assigned tasks through spot audits and checks.
Ensure that employees use the CTM to document closure of their tasks.
Reassign Tasks as needed to ensure that they are completed as required.
Query CTM, as needed, to track your team’s performance.
Maintain a Compliance Culture with your employees.
Notify your HSSE Department if there is a Potential Deviation or a Follow-Up identified by you or one of your direct reports.
Follow established HSSE operational controls and ensure they are fit for purpose. An example of an operational control is a LOTO Procedure.
Ensure that your employees understand the importance of completing tasks on time.
