Compliance Management of Change
All new regulations at the federal and state level are identified through a service called Citation Publishing, Inc..  The subject matter experts (SME) within the site HSSE department receives a daily e-mail listing of the regulations that have changed. It is then the responsibility of the SME to review the changes to see if any new requirements apply. The SME has password access to the Citation database to review existing regulations at all levels, including local. If necessary, the SME can get further advice from internal HSSE experts or lawyers.

As new legal requirements are identified, the Compliance Coordinator (with help from the SME) enters a task, a due date, an owner and a supervisor into the Compliance Task Manager (CTM). The Compliance Task Manager (CTM) Management of Change (MOC) form may be used for this purpose. The Compliance Coordinator also links each new task with the associated environmental aspect(s) as necessary. The CTM then sends an e-mail to the task owner at a pre-determined time to prompt completion of the task in a timely manner.
