Laboratory and Pilot Plant Worker

If you work in a lab or a pilot plant, you need to:

• Know what is expected of the office worker;
• Understand and follow the site hazard communication and chemical hygiene plan;
• Know the permit required activities and follow the procedures;
• Conduct a Process Safety Review (PSR) if you plan to build or modify process to ensure industrial hygiene issues are addressed;
• Complete the required training;
• Follow the standard operating procedures;
• Follow the procedure in the Respiratory Protection Program if you are in the program;
• Follow the procedure in the Hearing Conservation Program if you are in the program;
• Complete all compliance tasks that apply to you by the due date; and
• Complete yellow tag when a service provider works in your area.
